Kara no Kyokai: The Garden of Sinners: Short anime review part 7/7 – Murder Speculation (Part 2) and overall impression

Review: It’s been quite a journey watching Kara no Kyokai. With each episode, more information is revealed, the mysterious world of this show gets clearer and the ultimate message starts to emerge. Despite the countless murder cases, the vaguely explained supernatural lore and the headache-inducing discussion about ‘the origin’, Kara no Kyokai is ultimately a love story, albeit a bloody one. Luckily, I like both love and blood. Continue reading

Kara no Kyokai: The Garden of Sinners: Short anime review part 6/7 – Oblivion Recorder

Review: After the fantastic Paradox Spiral, it is almost impossible to watch Oblivion Recorder without feeling like it is just filler. The relative inferiority is too stark to be overlooked. But that does not mean that this episode is bad especially compared to the general standard. Continue reading

Kara no Kyokai: The Garden of Sinners: Short anime review part 5/7 – Paradox Spiral

Review: This episode is simply breath taking. For a moment, I thought this is the end because everything the previous four movies have laid out seems to be reaching its peak in this episode; The action is mind-blowing, the villains are revealed, all the main characters have to get through their most difficult obstacles yet and finally transform into greater being. Like I said, it feels like a climax, a fantastic one. Continue reading

Kara no Kyokai: The Garden of Sinners: Short anime review part 4/7 – The Hollow Shrine

Review: First of all, this episode is much shorter than the others but, to my utter surprise, it gives out so much vital information regarding Shiki and Touko along with a glimpse of the truth that tides all the past events together. Continue reading

Kara no Kyokai: The Garden of Sinners: Short anime review part 3/7 – Remaining Sense of Pain

Review: The Remaining Sense of Pain benefits immensely from what the previous two episodes have built. The viewers have gotten accustomed with the universe of this series and the main characters have been properly introduced. This is the right time to expand the plot, give the viewer some hints of the bigger picture. It’s time for some juicy action! Continue reading

Kara no Kyokai: The Garden of Sinners: Short anime review part 2/7 – Murder Speculation (part 1)

Review: As if the creators know exactly what the first episode lacks, Murder Speculation (part 1) focuses only on the two leading characters, Shiki and Mikiya, and absolutely nothing else. Plus, Shiki in red dress looks stunning and adorably murderous! Continue reading

Kara no Kyokai: The Garden of Sinners: Short anime review part 1/7 – Overlooking View

Introduction: Kara no Kyokai: The Garden of Sinners consists of 7 movies released over last couple of years. I’ve just recently started watching it and will be reviewing it one at a time. The review will be published sporadically (just like everything else on my blog x_x) depending on the time I watch each movie. I’ll rate each episode and will give my overall rating once the seventh episode has been reviewed. Continue reading
